Akselos and partners, Royal Dutch Shell and LICengineering, have been selected from thousands of entries to present at this year’s conference.
The presentation ‘Predictive Digital Twins For Structural Integrity Management and Asset Life Extension’ will focus on the results of a two-year Joint Industry Project between the partners.
The aim of the JIP was to test the concept of a Digital Guardian – newly developed structural simulation technology combined with sensors, machine learning and data analytics – in its ability to:
1. Analyse remaining structural life of late life assets, with a view to adding 20 years of operating life to an ageing fixed platform.
2. Reduce OPEX by combining condition-based monitoring with a focused inspection strategy to improve risk-based inspection and introduce predictive maintenance
