SÃO PAULO and GENEVA, September 9, 2026 – Today, Akselos and Uptec announced a first-of-its-kind partnership in Latin America to maximize asset yield and drive growth without new construction.

In a volatile petrochemical market, the ability to increase output while safeguarding critical infrastructure has become a competitive requirement. With a global annual infrastructure gap climbing towards $6 trillion, the next gains in industrial performance will come from Industrial AI rather than construction.

The partnership between Akselos and UPTEC will support Latin America’s regional drive to sustain peak output while ensuring rigorous safety standards. Akselos will deploy its Structural Performance Management technology across a selection of critical assets in the region, giving engineers a real-time view of asset conditions under real operating loads. This will empower teams to run these assets safer, harder, and longer – giving Braskem a competitive advantage in the market.

“The Latin American region is a petrochemicals leader and has been investing in digitalisation and reliability for years. What Akselos adds is the physics-based AI. Our technology runs full structural models of an asset in minutes rather than days, helping engineers see how real operating conditions are affecting the steel while the plant is running.” said Ricardo Pinto, VP Sales LATAM, Akselos.

“Brazil has world-class industrial operations and exceptionally qualified engineers. Bringing technology of this calibre closer to this market is central to UPTEC’s purpose. This partnership reinforces that commitment by combining global innovation with the specific needs of Brazilian industry. We are proud to work alongside Akselos in helping set a new standard for how assets are managed in the region,” said Hildebrando Maia, Chief Executive Officer, UPTEC Solutions.

Physics-based AI is making it possible to see inside operating assets in real time, and to run them closer to what they are genuinely capable of. Akselos and UPTEC are putting that capability to work for petrochemical assets first in Latin America, with the initial deployment in Brazil covering a defined set of critical equipment and scope to extend across wider operations over time.
