Akselos Modeler Version 2025.10 introduces these user-focused features:

New features

Solver

Akselos Modeler and Post-processing

Description

Solver

1. Facet clustering in cavity radiation: Cavity radiation calculations can be highly computationally intensive since they introduce a coupling between all facets on a cavity surface. An option to perform “facet clustering” is now provided, in which element facets are grouped into larger clusters so that there is only coupling between the clusters rather than the individual facets. This can dramatically reduce the computational effort required for cavity radiation analysis.

Solver

2. Occlusion Detection in Thermal Cavity Radiation: Cavity radiation with occlusion allows parts of the model to block radiative heat exchange between surfaces. When this optional feature is enabled, the entire mesh of the model is processed using a ray-tracing library to determine which parts of each radiation surface are visible/occluded to each other, resulting in a reduced view-factor matrix.

3. Harmonic Explorer Tool: This tool introduces Frequency Response to visualize how structural responses vary across different excitation frequencies, and Phase Response to display how much the structural response lags behind the applied load at a specific frequency, representing the phase angle between excitation and response.

Bug fixes and Improvements

Akselos Modeler and Post-processing

Description

Akselos Modeler and Post-processing

1. Contact Interaction Tool: Now includes a drop-down list feature, allowing users to easily select components and surfaces when defining contact interactions.

Akselos Modeler and Post-processing

2. Corrosion Mapping Tool: added new options for handling invalid values in inspection input files. Users can now set a valid data range by defining lower and upper bounds. Any values found in the input file that fall outside of this specified range will be automatically adjusted to a user-defined default value. Furthermore, users can now specify the units for your input data to ensure correct interpretation.

And other additional bug fixes and improvements.
