Akselos Modeler Version 2026.07 introduces these user-focused features:

New features

Akselos Modeler and Post-processing

Description

Akselos Modeler and Post-processing

1. Average Element Field in Harmonic Solution: The “Average Element Field” tool now works with harmonic solutions, extending support
beyond the previously covered solution types. This makes it easier to post-process and analyze harmonic analysis results.

2. Per-Step Color Bar Scaling: The color bar can now rescale automatically to each individual solution step, instead of only spanning the full range of all steps or requiring manual upper/lower limits. Switch freely between viewing all steps on a common scale or a single step on its own scale, and capture screenshots of any step with its corresponding color bar – making it easier to inspect and compare results.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

Akselos Modeler Version 2026.07 contains the following bug fixes and improvements:

Bug fixes and Improvements

Solver

Description

Solver

1. Extra stress and extra strain loads for FEA and RB-FEA: Used for applying residual stress at welds, or measured strains due to permanent deformations.

Solver

2. Restart Solves with Replaced or Added Components: Analyses can now be restarted after components are replaced or added to a system, so you can continue simulating from an updated configuration instead of re-running from the beginning. For example, when an SMR catalyst tube is replaced during a turnaround (TA), the analysis can pick up from the modified system.

Solver

3. Initial Displacement Solve with Geometric Nonlinearity: The initial displacement solve – used to set initial plastic strain from a given displacement field – now supports geometric nonlinearity, not just linear elastic behavior. This aligns with the API/ASME requirement to consider non-linear geometry in elastic–plastic stress analysis, enabling more accurate cyclic plastic-strain accumulation for applications such as bulging assessment.

And other additional bug fixes and improvements.
