LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND – Akselos S.A. is pleased to announce its participation in a project with the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) to deploy Akselos Structural Performance Management software for supporting FPSO operations in the Cessão Onerosa oil field, São Paulo, Brazil. This collaboration involves the real-time condition monitoring of one of Petrobras’ four floating production, storage, and offloading units, FPSOs P-74, P-75, P-76, and P-77.

In this way, the asset life can be extended as safely as possible.”
Akselos will work as an official partner on the Petrobras FPSO project under the marine class society ABS.

The life extension evaluation process takes place to verify that the unit will be able to operate in conformance with existing safety standards beyond its design life. Incorporating real-time operational data from Akselos will provide even more information to improve our analysis for Petrobras.”
This collaboration will bring together stakeholders from across Petrobras’ operations and asset integrity teams to uncover critical insights on the FPSO asset lifetime.
