MORE ABOUT THIS REPORT

Akselos built a digital twin of a semisubmersible drilling rig based on RB-FEA technology. RB-FEA technology is about 1000 times faster than conventional finite element analysis (FEA) at analysing assets, without compromising accuracy.

The results of the study demonstrated the efficiency and the accuracy of the RB-FEA-based technology. The speedup and level of detail achieved through the RB-FEA technology is a key enabler for the digital twin technology since it enables true condition-based modelling of large and critical assets.
