MORE ABOUT THIS CASE STUDY

Traditionally, FPSO vessel operators use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to assess the structural integrity of their assets. However, FEA cannot model in sufficient detail to incorporate detailed inspection results. The result is a months-long inspection process, providing little insight into the true asset integrity.

To overcome the issue, Akselos created a detailed digital twin of the entire hull to identify at-risk areas. The digital twin is automatically updated with inspection data to create a condition-based asset model, providing actionable maintenance insights.
