LATEST COMPANY NEWS AND SOME THOUGHTS FROM OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM
Today, physics-based simulation technology (think FEA or CFD) is part of every field of engineering. The value of computational modeling of physical phenomena from first principles is well-established…
Akselos to generate Digital Twins of pressure vessels within the OGTC robotics program.
At the end of last month I spent a few days in the vibrant city of Lisbon to attend an equally vibrant event, the Oil and Gas IoT Summit.
Simply put, a Digital Twin technology is a digital replica of a physical asset, projecting physical objects into the digital world. There have been numerous Digital Twin concepts since the idea was introduced in the early 2000s.
Last week, Akselos swapped one cold city for another as our team flew from Lausanne and London to Aberdeen, to attend Data Driven Drilling & Production North Sea. The conference, held by Upstream Intelligence, focused on the specialist and increasingly essential topic of data and analytics in the oil and gas industry.
The European Union is the latest backer of Akselos’ cutting edge technology, with the award of a €1.4 million research grant to the tech pioneer and engineering partner, LICengineering, to optimize the design of offshore wind turbines.
